About Us
The Alfa Romeo Owners Club (AROC) Ltd. was formed in 1964 when Alfa Romeo cars had started to become more numerous in the UK. With the continued expansion of sales and the arrival of the Alfasud, Alfetta, 33, 75 and 164 models, the Club grew steadily and with another strong revival of Alfa Romeo sales following the appearance of the superb 156, the elegant Spider and Gtv coupe, the executive-class 166 and the curvaceous 147, we now have around 4000 Members nationally. With the introduction of Alfa's most recent models such as the GT, the 159, the Brera and the New Spider, membership looks likely to expand still further.
Quite simply, if you're interested in racing, driving, maintaining or showing a modern, classic or vintage Alfa Romeo, spectating at Alfa Romeo motorsport events or maybe just enjoy the company and support of a group of people who are equally enthusiastic about Italy's finest automobile marque, then we believe that our non-exclusive club has something for you.

The AROC Yorkshire Section
There are currently thirty Sections of the AROC spread geographically throughout the UK from Scotland to Cornwall. Now in our thirty-second year, the Yorkshire Section is one of the longest established, originally known as the AROC North East Section but eventually taking on our present title when we became more centralised in our region. Enjoying a re-launch in 2002, in common with other Area Sections nationally, we hold regular Section Meetings and organise our own Calendar of events, which seem to have a very keen following. It is hoped that all members living within striking distance of our area section will give their support to our activities.
Our Section regularly organises regional Alfa Days in the north of England with eight such events taking place in the past five years in locations throughout Yorkshire, Drives in the Yorkshire Dales and our popular Windermere Weekends which have been running for the last three years continuously. We also routinely join in with our colleagues from other Sections of the AROC with convoy runs from our established meeting point at Woodhall Services on the M1 to events such as Cotswolds Alfa Day, MITCAR and Auto Italia Days at Stanford Hall. We try our best to cater for Alfisti of all ages, so in the past we've organised Section Family Days with visits to local family-friendly attractions like The Deep in Hull, and our Summer Alfa Days are deliberately geared towards providing fun for all the family.
This year's package of events will follow the same familiar theme, but with one or two major exceptions to cater for those who enjoy motorsport! We hope that we'll see you out and about with the Yorkshire Section in 2008!
